Who: Seattle Seahawks at New York Giants
What: Monday Night Football
When: Monday, October 2nd @ 7:15 PM CST
Where: MetLife Stadium (New York)
Best Bets:
Kenneth Walker (SEA) O62.5 Rushing Yards (-115 DraftKings)
Walker faces a defensive line with some marquee names (A. Robinson, D. Lawrence, L. Williams, K. Thibodeaux), but they haven’t been great this season. The Giants rank in the bottom-5 of the NFL for rushing yards allowed on the season. Here are the breakdowns from their first three games.
Week 1:
T. Pollard – 14 Carries, 70 Yards, 2 TDs
R. Dowdle – 6 Carries, 24 Yards
Week 2:
J. Conner – 23 Carries, 106 Yards, 1 TD
J. Dobbs – 3 Carries, 41 Yards
Week 3:
C. McCaffery – 18 Carries, 85 Yards, 1 TD
E. Mitchell – 11 Carries, 42 Yards
Seattle is a run-first team that has shown the propensity to put up big points. Coming into Week 4, the Seahawks average 114 yards per game as a team. At first glance, it would appear that Charles Cross’s doubtful status is a major downgrade, but that’s not really the case. Stone Forsythe should get the start at left tackle, and he is a better run blocker than Cross. Kenneth Walker is coming off an 18-carry game where he gained 97 yards. He’s averaging 4.3 yards per carry, has seen an increase in touches each week this season, and should get plenty of work on MNF.
Tyler Lockett (SEA) O50.5 Receiving Yards (-125 PointsBet)
T. Lockett faces the NY Giants this week. He has an excellent utilization rate, as he has run routes on 90% of Seattle’s passing plays this season. He has also received a 23% target share on Seattle’s top-12 ranked passing offense. While there are several options you could pick from a pass-catching standpoint in this game, I’m picking Lockett because of his matchup against Tre Hawkins III, who was just torched by Deebo Samuel for 6 catches, 129 yards, and 1 TD in Week 3. Lockett should get 8+ targets in this game, and 51+ yards is a very reasonable bet.
